Besides everything else going on at Friday night's Effingham Hearts' football game, it will be a pinkout night.

Charlie Schwerman said he put it to his Graphic Arts II students as to whether they wanted to undertake the fundraising effort again this year, and they said Yes. Thus, the process got underway. With only in-school publicity, Schwerman said the class "worked their tails off" and sold and distributed "right at 500" t-shirts with the proceeds going to the battle against cancer. Schwerman said the class members will decide where the money will be donated.

The merchandise options expanded this year. In addition to short sleeved T-shirts, long sleeved shirts were available this year, as well as hoodies.

In addition to the Senior Night activities and the Honor Coach Mac event before the game, you're invited to get your pink on before heading to Klosterman Field Friday night. Schwerman encouraged fans to wear their gear from previous seasons or just pink in general.
