Dairy Queen is the latest national chain to be hit with a massive breach of credit and debit card data. The company reported Friday that it had "contained" the malware that affected 395 of it's stores.

While Effingham's location is not affected, the Dairy Queens in Greenup and further to the south, Fairfield, are the closest locations to us where transactions may have been hacked.

August 5th through the 31st is the timeframe the company says malware was present and potentially stealing data from its point-of-sale systems. If you think your account may be affected, contact your bank.
