County Clerk Shares Information on April 2015 Election

Effingham County Clerk Kerry J Hirtzel has released information for the April 7, 2015 Consolidated Election: 

Petitions for the April 7, 2015 Consolidated Election can be circulated by candidates as of September 23, 2014. Petition packets for School Board Candidates within Effingham County may be picked up in the Effingham County Clerk’s office or the respective School Board offices as of September 23, 2014. The filing period for School Board Candidates is December 15, 2014 through December 22, 2014 in the County Clerk’s office. This is a change from previous years – School Board Candidates file with the County Clerk instead of the School Board Secretary. All other petition and caucus information will be provided by the respective entities.

Dependent upon individual entities, officers to be elected at the April 7, 2015 Consolidated Election include:

Municipal Officers – Mayor or President, Clerk, and Commissioners or Trustees      

Park District - Commissioners or Trustees

Regional Board of Education - Trustees

School District – Board Members

Community College District – Trustees

Fire Protection District – Trustees

Library District - Trustees
