Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, in partnership with goodworksconnect.org and the Lumpkin Family Foundation, is now accepting on-line applications from non-profits in Shelby, Coles, Fayette, Effingham, Cumberland and Clark Counties for professional development. Agencies in these counties must be members of www.goodWORKSconnect.org and are eligible for Region 4 grants.
Micro-grants, for up to $1,500, are intended to defray the cost of staff and board members attending programs targeted at improving the management, governance and leadership of the applicant organization.
To find out more and to apply, visit www.goodWORKSconnect.org/grants. Application deadline is September 15. Applicants will be notified of the status of their application within six weeks of the submission deadline.
If you have questions regarding this process, contact Joedy Hightower, President/CEO of the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation at 217-342-4988.
Not applying for a micro-grant right now? Then apply to be a Region 4 reviewer.
Review your fellow nonprofits' micro-grant applications and recommend which should be funded. The deadline for grant reviewer applications is also September 15. Once your application is received, you will be contacted regarding your status on the committee.
