The Neoga Board of Education and the Neoga Teachers' Association have announced agreement on, and ratified, a one-year extension of their existing contract. The agreement freezes the annual increases in salary of teachers on the schedule for the 2014-15 school year.

Board President Tina Moore said, "The Neoga Board of Education would like to recognize the efforts of the Neoga Teachers' Association in proposing this agreement. Through the efforts of both organizations, we are pleased that we are able to work together to continue to address these issues in such difficult times by coming to such an agreement."

NTA Negotiating Team Acting Chair Amy Brown said, "We are grateful to the Neoga Board of Education for its recognition of our support of the students and community needs. We look forward to working with them in the coming year for the difficult decisions facing the district."

The parties are scheduled to negotiate again prior to the beginning of the next school year.
