Marion Man Injured in Crash Outside Mattoon

A Marion man was injured in a crash over the weekend outside Mattoon.

The crash happened Saturday night on I-57 at the Illinois 16 interchange. State police say a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Darien Daniels ran off the roadway and rolled over. Daniels told authorities he spilled something in the vehicle and that diverted his attention.

Daniels was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He was cited for improper lane usage.
