The vandals who did damage around town Monday night added to their efforts Tuesday night.
Effingham city police received reports of criminal damage to four businesses and one vehicle between 6pm Tuesday and 10:16am Wednesday. The Effingham Daily News at 201 North Banker, Village Square Mall at 1910 South Banker, Baseball Card Connection at 313 West Jefferson and Draves Archery at 1707 Avenue of Mid America, as well as a vehicle parked at 1702 West Evergreen all had windows painted with an emblem. Window paint was used, though; no damage was reported.
Not as fortunate was a vehicle owned by Barbeck Communications while it was parked in the 700 block of West Franklin between 6pm Sunday and 7:43am Tuesday. The vehicle sustained an undetermined amount of damage from spray paint.
