Motorcyclist Injured in Crash at Main and Temple

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash at Main and Temple just before midnight Thursday night.

City police say 54-year-old Michael Brooks of Toledo lost control of the cycle and crashed, resulting in damage to landscaping at a residence at 605 North Main.

Brooks was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Police cited Brooks on counts including DUI, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, leaving the roadway and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
