Pulling Action Tonight at Altamont

Monday activities at the 70th Annual Effingham County Fair will be highlighted by pulling action.

The Hasting's Filters Truck, Tractor and Garden Tractor Pull will begin at 6:30pm in front of the grandstand. Admission is $15 for the infield and $10 for the grandstand.

Big Ten harness racing begins at 1pm. Six heats are on tap today. Hear the racing action today and the rest of the week on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com.  

The midway will open for the first time at this year's fair at 6pm at regular prices.

The 4-H sheep show will begin at 12:30pm. The beef cattle, swine carcass class, and the poultry and waterfowl shows all began this morning. A reminder that you can hear the results of the judging competition each day at 8:45am on KJ Country 102.3.  

The fair runs through Saturday at the fairgrounds at Altamont.
