One Person in Custody After Pursuit from Sullivan to Northwest of Effingham

One person is in custody after a pursuit Tuesday afternoon that stretched from Sullivan to just northwest of Effingham.

Sullivan police said the pursuit began in their city and continued south on Illinois 32 to the junction with Illinois 33 northwest of Effingham. The pursuit began at 4:59pm and wrapped up within an hour.

No one was injured in the incident or the pursuit.

Details as to what caused the pursuit are not yet available. The suspect is being held at Moultrie County Jail in Sullivan.
