Hospital Opens Convenient Care Clinic

St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital opened their Convenient Care Clinic at 801 West Temple Avenue in Effingham today.

In partnership with area physicians, the clinic will provide services late-afternoon and evening hours on weekdays, and weekends for non-emergency patients. These hours will help the hospital improve access to health care for those patients who do not have a primary care provider or when the provider is not able to see them. No appointments are necessary and walk-ins are welcome.

The Convenient Care Clinic will be open during these hours:

Monday through Friday - 3 p. m. to 8 p. m.

Saturday and Sunday - 10 a. m. to 2 p. m.

The Convenient Care facility also offers diagnostic services and pre-surgical testing for patients. These services' hours are as follows:

X-ray, Lab, EKG, Drug Testing

Monday through Friday - 6 a. m. to 8 p. m.

Saturday and Sunday - 8 a. m. to 2 p. m.

Pre-Surgical Testing

Monday through Friday -- 8:30 a. m. to 6 p. m.

Mike Janis, St. Anthony's Director of Imaging and Outreach, shared why the hospital wanted to offer a Convenient Care clinic to the area.

"We are always looking at ways that we can provide added convenience to those we serve. This new Convenient Care facility allows us, in one easily accessible location, to offer our diagnostic services, pre-surgical testing, and now, an after-hours clinic when your doctor is not available," Janis said. "In addition to the being centrally-located with ease of access, we are proud to partner with local health care providers to offer patients exceptional care by the experienced medical experts that our community has come to know and trust."
