The 2014 Race Across America is due in Effingham Monday.

The solo riders began the 3,000-mile race in Oceanside, California on June 10. The early leader was Christoph Strasser of Austria, who completed 933 miles in less than two days of riding.

You're invited out to meet world class athletes from 20 different countries. Unique this year is an area rider, Keith Wolcott of Charleston.

You're invited to help staff the Effingham Time Station located again this year along Route 40 at Effingham High School. If you'd like to help, phone Mike Tipton at 217-246-1205.
