Registration Underway for Effingham 4th of July Parade

The City of Effingham Emergency Management Agency is sponsoring the Effingham 4th of July Parade.
The parade will step off at 5pm on the 4th, lining up downtown along 2nd Street north of Jefferson Avenue at 3:30pm. The procession will follow the EHS Homecoming Parade route again this year; west on Jefferson to Cherry Street, south on Cherry to Grove Avenue, and west on Grove to the high school. The fireworks display will once again take place on the grounds just west of the EHS athletic complex.
Information sought includes: name of the organization, contact person, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and type of entry; towed float, car, truck, motorcycle, marching unit, horses, bicycles and other. No parking will be allowed along either 1st Street or 2nd Street in the area of the parade route. The parade entry deadline is Friday, June 27, at 4pm.
