Charles Yoder, charged with First Degree Murder in the stabbing death of Ted Debany, has been found not guilty by a jury in Effingham County Circuit Court Friday afternoon.

Earlier today, the jury began deliberations after closing arguments and jury instructions from Judge Kimberly Koester. State's Attorney Bryan Kibler indicated he would seek a life sentence for Yoder had he been found guilty on any of the three counts of murder he faced.

The 53-year-old Yoder was charged with the stabbing death of Ted Debany outside the house they shared with Yoder's sister on May 7, 2013.
