No Hearing in Hofer Case

A scheduled hearing on a defense motion in the case of Melly Hofer was continued Wednesday morning.

Hofer is charged with aggravated DUI and reckless homicide in the death of a Watson teenager as the result of a crash south of Effingham along US Route 45 last December.

The defense is seeking to quash a prosecution request for medical records.

The hearing was continued to July 7.  Hofer is to go on trial August 4.
