Ground has been broken on a new NAPA Auto Parts store at 1201 South Banker in Effingham, next to Nuxoll Food Center.

The NAPA store opened more than 50 years ago at 307 East Fayette.  The store was operated by Charles and Joyce Jeffries until it was purchased by the Hecht family in February 2008.

The new 7,600-square-foot building being constructed by K. Wohltman Construction is to be open sometime this fall.  In the meantime, business will continue at the current location serving auto repair facilities and local customers with inventory in stock as well as special orders.

NAPA receives warehouse deliveries twice a day and offers free local delivery.  NAPA can be reached at 217-347-5571.
