McCarter, Righter to Host Effingham Town Hall Meeting June 4

Local residents are invited to attend State Senator Dale Righter of Mattoon and Kyle McCarter of Lebanon's free June 4 town hall meeting from 7-8:30pm at Effingham City Hall.

The senators will provide an overview of the 2014 spring legislative session, including information on the budget, tax proposals, education reform and other issues that impact residents living in the 54th and 55th Senate districts.  Following the lawmakers' presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.

While the event is free and open to the public, those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by May 30 to Senator McCarter's office at 618-283-3000.  Light refreshments will be provided.
