Many Give to the Watson Area Homecoming and Fireworks

The Watson Area Homecoming is this weekend, with events on Friday and Saturday. We've got the full schedule of events for both days listed in our Community Calendar, located here.

Many local businesses and organizations have donated to this year's Homecoming Fireworks Display, including the Effingham Chapter 7 DAV. Pictured below left to right are Pam Dial, Nikki Wendt, Tony Koester, Kevin Koester (Homecoming Representative), and DeAnna McWilliams (Willow Park Representative).

The Effingham Elks Lodge #1016 gave to the Watson Homecoming Fireworks as well. Pictured below left to right below are Wilma Jenkins, Steve Davis, Carol Lance, DeAnna McWilliams (Willow Park Representative), Kevin Koester (Homecoming Representative), and Gean Tabbert (Club Manager).

The Illinois Licensed Beverage Association also donated, shown below presenting a check for the Watson Homecoming Fireworks are Wilma Jenkins, Gean Tabbert, and Kevin Koester (Homecoming Representative).

The 40 & 8 of Effingham County V1439 donated to the Fireworks. Pictured below left to right are Ralph W. Rounds II (Chef De Gave) and Kevin Koester (Homecoming Representative).

The Effingham VFW Ladies Auxiliary 1769 also donated to the Watson Homecoming Fireworks. Pictured left to right below are Shirley Cheadle, Nancy Meyer, Kevin Koester (Homecoming Representative), Cheryl Boone (President), Shirley Beckmier (Past District President), and Shirley Campton.

Donating as well, The Edgewood American Legion Women's Auxiliary, pictured left to right below are Pat Hassebrock, Dennis Yocum (Homecoming Representative), and Marvina Bowman.

A donation was also given by The Effingham American Legion. Pictured left to right below are Colby Higgs (Homecoming Representative) and Robert Reisner.

The Edgewood American Legion Keeler-Adams Post 1168 and the Edgewood Sons of the American Legion Keeler-Adams Post 1168 also both made donations to the fireworks display.
