Several Area Businesses Give in the Effort to Build Willow Park, Dedication this Saturday During the Watson Homecoming

The dedication of Willow Park: In Memory of Willow Long is just days away, slated for this Saturday during the Watson Homecoming. Organizers tell us donations have been coming in to help build the park, but more help is needed.

If you'd like to give to the effort to build Willow Park, donations may be dropped off at Fifth-Third Bank in Effingham or mailed to: Willow Park Fund, Fifth-Third Bank 200 E. Jefferson Avenue Effingham, IL 62401

Recent donations to the park's construction include Washington Savings Bank, show below with President David Doedtman and employees Erica Sloan and Ryan Fearday presenting a check to Dave Ring.

The Dieterich Community Ruritan Club made a $250.00 donation to help with the construction. Presenting the check to DeAnna McWilliams (Willow Park) are Rob Arnold and Robert Bohnoff of the Ruritan Club.

Employees of the Patterson Technology Center raised funds by holding a casual week for Willow Park. Presenting the check are (l-r) Roy Shelley, Julia Bizzell, Dave Ring (Willow Park) , Ali Schuette, Corine McMillian and Rosalie Nasser.

Teutopolis State Bank also made a donation to help the park's development. Shown presenting a check to Willow Park are (l-r) Judy Wells, Marlene Hoene, Dave Ring (accepting for Willow Park), Hank Koester and Marti Breer.

Carol & Matt Stead made a personal donation, and are shown presenting a check to Dave Ring. The Steads made a $500 donation towards building the park.

Vanessa Merritt is shown presenting a check in the amount of $391.00 to Matt Kulesza, Watson Fire Chief. These monies were raised during the "Walk for Willow" event.
