The trial of Jay Miller of Altamont on drug charges is still scheduled for a June 2 start.

The 22-year-old Miller is charged with two counts including drug induced homicide related to the death of 29-year-old Jessica James of Effingham.

During a Thursday morning court hearing, attorneys for each side presented items related to the case.  While the trial is slated to begin June 2, a date for a pre-trial hearing to address any pending motions is yet to be scheduled.

Miller has already been sentenced to five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a count of possession of a controlled substance.
