Emblem3 Added to State Fair Lineup

 

The band, which finished fourth on the second season of the TV music competition "The X Factor," won the 2013 Teen Choice Award for "Breakout Group."  Its first album, "Nothing to Lose," reached number seven last year on the Billboard 200 chart.  MKTO, a duo whose self-titled debut album was released in January, and Midnight Red, a five-piece dance, pop and hip-hop act, will open the show.

 

"The Grandstand line-up is coming together quite nicely," State Fair Manager Amy Bliefnick said.  "Whether country, rap, rock or pop, the fair has a show to appeal to the musical taste of most every fairgoer.  I'm very pleased." 

 

Ticket prices for the concert range from $15 for a Tier 3 Grandstand seat to $35 for a VIPit track ticket in front of the stage and will go on sale through Ticketmaster Saturday, May 10, the same day that tickets become available for the American Idol Live! concert Friday, Aug. 8. 

 

This Saturday, May 3, fairgoers will get their first chance to buy tickets for the Pitbull (Aug. 9), Hunter Hayes (Aug. 13) and Steely Dan (Aug. 15) concerts.  They can be purchased online at http://www.ticketmaster.com/, by phone at (800) 745-3000, or in person at all Ticketmaster outlets beginning at 10 a.m.
