An Effingham man has been arrested on a forgery charge after allegedly taking someone else's paycheck.

20-year-old Michael J. R. Snyder was arrested after an individual alleged someone took their check.  Authorities checked the account of the person making the accusation and their account was found to be shy by the amount of the check, while his bank checked and found the check had been cashed.

Snyder was also arrested on counts of obstructing justice and residential burglary.  In court Monday, Snyder's bond was set at $25,000.  He's due back in court May 6.
