An Effingham County grand jury has indicted suspects in a methamphetamine ring.
20-year-old Cody Laue of Beecher City faces a charge of aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing and 38-year-old Stacey Beccue of Altamont is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The charges stem from the seizure of materials from a residence in rural Shumway earlier this month.
Laue and Beccue were in court Wednesday. Laue will be back in court on April 24 for arraignment, while Beccue will return to court May 7 for arraignment.
The other two suspects in the case, 18-year-old Tera Devoe of Shumway and 23-year-old Nathaniel Sparks of Beecher City were in court earlier this week prior to the grand jury hearing. Devoe is charged with aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing while Sparks is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Sparks is due back in court on April 22 for a bond hearing and arraignment while Devoe will next be in court on April 22.
