Fire at Homewood Grill

Homewood Grill should be open for business later today after an early closing Thursday due to a fire.

Effingham Fire Chief Joe Holomy said the fire was electrical in origin, in a panel in the back of the building.  The electricity was shut off and repairs were made last night.  No one was injured and damage was confined to the electrical box.

Holomy said the Effingham County Health Department checked the food supply, and Homewood managers said on their Facebook page that they should be ready for business around lunchtime today.
