Police were able to develop information leading to the arrest of two individuals at a local residence on active warrants. That led police to obtain a search warrant for the residence and to additional charges and a third arrest.
28-year-old Justin Nelson and 27-year-old Jamie Kane, both of Effingham, were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession or use of a hypodermic syringe needle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
26-year-old Staci Bierman of Effingham was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession or use of a hypodermic syringe needle.
The three were taken to Effingham County Jail. The arrests were made early Tuesday morning.
