Two Injured in Crash at Jefferson and Maple

Two people were injured in a crash at Jefferson and Maple in Effingham just after 11am Tuesday.

City police report a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Eddie McKenzie of Altamont pulled in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Roger Buchanan of Effingham.

McKenzie was injured, but refused treatment.  A passenger in McKenzie's vehicle, 19-year-old Ebony Brown, was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.  

McKenzie was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device.
