Authorities Looking Into Effingham Woman's Death

Authorities are looking into the death of an Effingham woman over the weekend.

A 911 call was made just before 9pm Saturday in regards to an unresponsive woman at 205 East Fayette Avenue.  EMS and Effingham City Police were dispatched to the residence.  The woman, later identified as 46-year-old Lynda Jakubowski, was found by EMS.  Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey was called to the scene and pronounced Jakubowski dead at 9:30pm.

The death remains under investigation by the Effingham County Coroner's Office, Effingham City Police and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services.

An autopsy to determine the cause will be performed this morning.  Authorities say no foul play is suspected.
