Identity of Deceased Lake Sara Resident Announced

Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey has announced the person found dead at his Lake Sara home in late February was 78-year-old Ronald C. "Ron" Mauck.

Mauck was the owner of Dorothy Chrysler School of Beauty in downtown Effingham.

The coroner's office had waited to announce the identity until next-of-kin could be notified.  Authorities had said at the time of Mauck's death that no foul play was suspected.
