Two Area Fire Departments Receiving Grant Funding

Two area fire departments are receiving state grant funding.

The dollars can be used for safety equipment, protective clothing, breathing apparatus and other tools.

Wade Fire Protection District at Newton is receiving $8,256, while Neoga Fire Protection District is receiving $15,552.

The grants are financed by a percentage of fire insurance sold in Illinois.
