An area man has been arrested on three counts of first degree murder in the death of a Casey man in his home in January.
19-year-old Thomas Messina of Windsor made his initial court appearance Thursday morning on the charges stemming from the death of Gregory Scott Collins. Authorities found Collins dead inside his home while fighting a fire at the home. Authorities ruled the fire suspicious during their investigation.
Messina was given a court-appointed attorney and bond was set at $500,000. Judge Tracy Resch ruled that if Messina posts bond, he'll be on electronic home confinement.
Messina is next due in court Monday morning at 9:00 for his first appearance with his attorney. No word on why authorities suspect Messina is involved in Collins' death.
