MATTOON — Effingham St. Anthony split victories with Mattoon in junior high volleyball competition Tuesday evening.
The Bullpups won the seventh-grade match, 25-21, 25-21. Bella Schultz and JackLynn Nuxoll led in kills with three each. Nina Semple had five assists and one dig. Amaya Griffith had one dig. Schultz led in blocks with three and aces with three.
In the eighth-grade match, Mattoon was a winner 25-16, 25-20.
Payton Clark and Mallory Litz had two kills each for the Bullpups. Sydney Stephens led in digs with five. Norah Niebrugge and Taylor Denning had three assists each. Cheyenne Barker led in blocks with five. Ava Hendrickson had two aces.

Altamont won both matches over Windsor in Tuesday evening competition.
Altamont claimed the seventh-grade contest 25-20, 25-16 to improve to 8-8.
Teegan Burrus had 10 assists while Kali Merritt led in aces with two. Mia Totten led in kills with six. Addi Neu had two blocks. Payton Ort led in digs with two.
In eighth-grade play, Altamont was a winner over Windsor. Altamont lost the opener 25-21 but came back with 25-14, 25-22 sets for the match.
Adelita Ruffner and Summer Martin had seven aces each. Kara Bauer led in assists with seven. Ruffner also led in kills with seven. Alysss Ruholl had one block. Bauer led in digs with four.

Cowden-Herrick claimed the seventh-grade match but Ramsey was a winner in eighth-grade play Tuesday.
The Bobcats won 25-14, 25-14. Anna Hart led in kills with four. Reece Vaughn led in aces with 11 and points with 15. Kaycie Thatcher had two assists. Anna Hart led in blocks with two. Valentina Doty had two digs.
In the eighth-grade match, Ramsey was a 25-11, 25-12 winner.
Raylee Martin had three kills. Natalie Tucker, Lyric Bennett and Cadence Dunn had one ace each. Tucker led in assists with three. Martin led in digs with four. Dunn led in points with three.

Jasper County claimed both victories over Martinsville Tuesday.
The homestanders lost the opening set in seventh-grade play, 25-19 but came back with 25-18, 25-18 scores for the match win.
Wolf and Mulvey led in aces with five each. Ochs had five kills. Mulvey led in assists with six. Jansen, Ochs and Wolf led in digs with two each.
In the eighth-grade match, Jasper County again lost the opener, 25-9 but took 25-10, 25-12 sets for the match.
Wagner led in aces with five, assists with seven and digs with four. Groves had six kills. Thomann had one block.
Jasper County is 7-4 in seventh-grade play and 10-1 in eighth-grade competition.

North Clay lost to Sigel St. Michael in the eighth-grade contest Tuesday.
The Sharpshooters won 25-11, 25-16. North Clay dropped to 10-4 on the season.
In the seventh-grade match, North Clay was a winner 25-14, 25-20.
North Clay returns to action Thursday against Fairfield at 3:45 p.m.
