North Clay claimed two victories over Effingham St. Anthony in junior high volleyball action Tuesday evening.

North Clay won the weventh-grade match, 25-16, 25-17.

St. Anthony was led by JackLynn Nuxoll with three kills. Nina Semple and Amaya Griffth had one assist each. Semple led in digs with one. Caelyn Buehnerkemper and Bella Schultz had one block each. Sylvia Semple led in aces with three.

In eighth-grade action, Norht Clay was a 25-15, 25-9 winner.

St. Anthony was led by Cheyenne Barker and Carli Budde with two kills each. Nora Niebrugge led in assists with three. Tenley Sams had two digs. Rachel Emmerich had two blocks.

At Altamont

Altamont and Dieterich split victories Tuesday evening.

In the seventh-grade contest, Altamont won 25-17, 25-16 to improve to 5-5.

Teegan Burrus led in aces with 10 and assists with nine. Mia Totten led in kills with six and digs with one. Payton Ort had one block.

In the eighth-grade match, Dieterich was a winner, 25-14, 25-17. Altamont fell to 1-9.

Kara Bauer had two aces, six assists and two digs. Adelita Ruffner led in kills with five. Sophia Hendrickson had two blocks.

At Toledo

Jasper County was a winner in both seventh- and eighth-grade play against Cumberland Tuesday evening.

Jasper County won 25-18, 25-17 in seventh-grade play to improve to 6-2.

Wolf led Jasper County with four aces and three digs. Briscoe and Lingafelter had three kills each. Jansen led in assists with five.

Jasper County improved to 7-1 in eighth-grade play with a win 25-20, 25-14.

Thomann led in aces with five. Wagner had seven kills. Stanley led in blocks with nine. Meinhart had three digs.

Jasper County is back in action Thursday against Effingham St. Anthony.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and St. Elmo/Brownstown split victories Tuesday evening.

The Bobcats won the seventh-grade match, 25-17, 25-14.

Elaina Thompson led CHBC in kills with three. Alyson Lawrence had seven aces and led in points with 16. Kaycee Thatcher had one assist and one dig. Anna Hart had two blocks and one dig.

In the eighth-grade contest, St. Elmo/Brownstown won 25-8, 23-25, 25-9.

CHBC was led by Raylee Martin with two kills, Harper Lilly with two aces and six points, Natalie Tucker with four assists and one block and Lyric Bennett and Sophie Zumbahlen with four digs each.
