PARIS — Effingham St. Anthony finished second at the Paris Lady Tiger Track Meet Monday.
Winning the meet was Olney with 75 points followed by St. Anthony 65, Mattoon 48, Newton 47, Paris 31 and Cisne 3.
Reese Hoene was a winner in three events, taking the 200 in 27.0 seconds and the 400 in 1:01.8 minutes. Hoene claimed the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 4 inches. She also was second in the 100 in 13.2 seconds.
Aubrey Denning was also a two-event winner. Denning claimed the 800 in 2:22.6 minutes and won the 1600 in 5:31.5 minutes.
Madelyn Gilmore placed second in the discus with a throw of 94-8 while teammate Madilyn Haarmann was third at 88-7.
Mary Scheidemantel finished second in the high jump at 4 ft. 10 inches.
Newton’s Karasyn Martin won the pole vault at 11 feet, 6 inches while St. Anthony’s Nora Trupiano was second at 8-6.
The Bulldogs’ Liv Hoene finished second in the 100 hurdles in 16.5 seconds and second in the 300 hurdles in 51.8.
