TROY — Effingham High School competed in the tough Troy Triad Boys Tennis Invitational during the weekend and fell in all three matches.
The Hearts lost to host Troy Triad by a 5-0 count.
In the second round, Christian Brothers College also blanked the Hearts 5-0.
In Round Three, East Peoria edged Effingham, 3-2.
Effingham’s Noah Jones defeated Max Lovell, 6-4 , 5-7 , 10-4 in the No. 1 singles spot.
The Hearts took the second point in the No. 2 doubles. Blake Hagler and Brady Wilson downed Tyler Ramsay and Evan Kahl, 6-4 , 6-0
