Patricia Ann Lewis age 81, of Newton, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dyer, Indiana.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Anthony Harris officiating, with burial following the service.

Pat was born on April 28, 1943, in Gary, Indiana the daughter of Joseph Alexander and Belva Fern (Hardyman) Williford. On February 24, 1961, Pat married Richard Lee “Dick” Lewis. They shared fifty-six years of marriage before his passing on January 21, 2018. In her early years, Pat began working in the business world, holding several clerical positions. She later returned to school to complete her degree in nursing. Pat spent her career as a registered nurse working in hospitals and nursing homes until her retirement. In their retirement years, the couple moved to Dick’s childhood home of Jasper County. Here, Pat attended the First Baptist Church. Having a love of music, Pat played both the dulcimer and hammered dulcimer with the Sumner Dulcimer Group. Pat loved to read and was a faithful patron of the Newton Library.

Pat will be loved and remembered by her nephew, Terry (Tracie) Wilson; niece, Ronda (James) Carr; great nephew, Noah Wilson; great nieces, Sara Wilson, Karen Carr, Olivia Carr and several wonderful cousins and dear friends.

Her parents, husband, brother Edward Arnold Williford and sister Karen Louis Wilson preceded her in death.

Memorial gifts in honor of Pat may be made to the Newton Public Library.
