Carolyn Jean Nicholson nee Little, age 91, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024.
Recent resident of Dyer, IN, formerly of Beecher City, IL. Jean graduated from Beecher City High School in 1951. Graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1955 with a degree in Teaching. Received her Masters Degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1970. A Teacher for over 35 years, she began her career in Decatur, IL. She taught fourth grade at Columbian School, Lowell School, and Washington School in Mattoon, IL until her retirement 1991. Jean continued substitute teaching for many years after retiring.
Mother of Sandy (Joseph) Christofanelli and the late Cindy (late Raymond) Rivnyak. Grandmother of Jennifer (Austin) Cangelosi, Kristin (Noah), Lyndsay (Dave) LeComte, Joey Christofanelli, Jonathan Rivnyak and Leah Christofanelli. Great grandmother of Chloe and Lyla Cangelosi, Sawyer and Jordan Wilson and Mia and Connor LeComte. Sister of Betty (Robert) Phillips and Pat (late Delmar) Smith. Aunt to many nieces and nephews, friend of many.

Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt. 30, 3 blks East of Western Avenue) Chicago Heights, IL Visitation on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Services at 5:00 p.m. Entombment Monday, December 16, 2024 12:00 noon at the Beecher City Cemetery, with Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan, IL handling the entombment.
