Rebecca Jo (Cummings) Rogers, 75, of Beecher City, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at her home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, with a two-hour visitation prior to the service. Jim Watts of The Gathering Church in Altamont will be officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to The Gathering Church in Altamont or donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
Rebecca was born on July 2, 1949 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Floyd S. Cummings, Sr. and Ila Mae (Blaire) Cummings. Rebecca’s proudest job was being a homemaker and loved being a mom, grandma, and most recently a great-grandma. She loved to cook, spend time with family, and was an avid QVC and Hallmark Channel watcher. She loved Jesus and her church family, and attended The Gathering Church in Altamont, as well as Altamont Christian Church.
Rebecca is survived by her beloved partner Kenneth “Ed” Rogers of Beecher City, whom she married on June 3, 1976, and her daughter, Christy (Ray) Uptmor of Farina; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Kent) Crisman of Beecher City, and Emily, Hallie, and Gabe Uptmor of Farina; great-grandchildren Kinsley Crisman of Beecher City, and Weston Crisman who is due in February; sisters Marsha (Jim) Camp of Riley, Indiana, Pat (Dave) Gardner of Vandalia, and Brenda Goodman of Loogootee, Indiana, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, and sisters and brothers-in-law Clement Lilly of St. Elmo, and Jim and Janet Shelton of Beecher City.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ila Mae Cummings, as well as sister Deborah (Dennis) Hobson of Paris, Tennessee and brother Floyd Samual Cummings, Jr. of Loogootee, Indiana, and brother-in-law Floyd Goodman of Loogootee, Indiana, as well as sisters and brothers-in-law Paul and Barb Taylor of Taylorville, Herbert and Bonnie Morrison of Beecher City, Bud and Pat Simmons of St. Elmo, and Gerneda “Pee Wee” Lilly of St. Elmo.
