A Mason man was in court Wednesday after his arrest on a series of child pornography charges.
37-year-old Benjamin P. Wendling was arrested Wednesday by Effingham County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant charging 10 counts of child pornography. The case will be prosecuted by the Effingham County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
During a court appearance Wednesday, Judge Allan Lolie set no bond for Wendling, but did release him on home confinement.
Wendling is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 25.
