April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Illinois.
To mark the observance of the month, Jill Wright of Sexual Assault and Family Emergencies (SAFE) served as the weekly program presenter at Effingham Noon Rotary on April 16. Wright spoke about the various ways that SAFE can provide help to those in crisis situations.
Noon Rotarian Dave Ring served as weekly program chairman.

There was also recognition for Noon Rotary President-Elect Mike Kirchhoff, who was recognized with another Paul Harris Fellowship. Each $1,000 given by a Rotarian goes to the Rotary Foundation for people-helping work done around the world.
