Eastern Illinois University trustees Thursday approved tuition and housing and dining rate adjustments. Undergraduate tuition will increase $9.47/credit hour for Illinois residents and $22.73/credit hour for non-residents.
Trustees granted assistant professors tenure status, approved a bid for parking lot and drive maintenance at seven locations across campus, and approved new or updated coaching contracts for EIU women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and men’s soccer.
The Board completed its annual election of officers with Christopher Hicks as board chair, Julie Everett as board vice-chair, Audrey Edwards as board secretary, and Barb Baurer as board member pro-tem.
Trustees also were updated on EIU’s 2024 climate survey that focuses on increasing retention, academic achievement, and graduation rates.
