Fire destroyed a house east of Watson Thursday afternoon.
The fire call came at 2:15pm. The house was owned by Dale Wendte at 14628 East 700th Avenue. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. Watson, Effingham, Shumway and Teutopolis firefighters responded to the scene, along with Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
