One person was injured in a single-vehicle collision early Saturday afternoon.
Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reported a car driven by 18-year-old Mackenzie Thilker of Effingham was traveling on North 1775th Road, a half-mile south of Illinois Route 33, when the crash occurred at 12:49pm.
The report indicates Thilker was traveling northbound when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, struck an embankment, and rolled over. The vehicle came to rest on its top, and the driver was trapped inside the vehicle. Teutopolis Fire Protection District firefighters extricated Thilker from the vehicle. She was flown by Air Evac to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for treatment.
