Stewardson Trinty won the championship of the Newton St. Thomas Eighth-Grade Tournament. Trinity defeated Paris Crestwood, 25-14, 25-18 then won over West Salem, 25-16, 25-13. Trinity then downed Newton St. Thomas, 25-15, 25-12 and is now 8-0 on the season.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis claimed two victories over Mattoon in junior high volleyball action Friday.
The Wodoen Shoes won 25-19, 25-20 in seventh-grade play to improve to 5-4 on the season.
In the eighth-grade match, T-town won 25-19, 24-26, 25-15. The Shoes now have an 8-1 record.
Jenna Beckman led T-town with 13 assists and 24 aces. Faith Ruholl had 13 digs. Lily Tegler finished with seven kills.

Jasper County split victories with Paris Saturday.
Paris won the seventh-grade match, 25-18, 25-23. Jasper County dropped to 4-2.
Jasper County was led by Ochs with five aces, Briscoe with three kills, Mulvey wit three assists, Hall with one block and Zumbahlen, Wolf and Mulvey with one dig each.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County won 25-22, 25-23 to improve to 5-1.
Meinhart and Stanley led in aces with three each. Stanley led in assists with four, digs with four and blocks with one. Kuhl had four kills.
