Brownstown school board members approved notice of intent Tuesday to issue up to $7 million in bonds. Proceeds from sale of the bonds would finance construction of a six-classroom addition. The addition will be built between the elementary and junior/senior high school buildings, and will include an enclosed breezeway to keep students out of inclement weather.

Construction is expected to begin by the end of the year, with the classrooms ready for the 2026-2027 school year.

Brownstown board members accepted the resignation of Michelle Dial as transportation supervisor, and approved Lindsay Ward as a volunteer assistant track coach. The Board also approved a list of proposed 2025 summer projects, and employed Michele Hoyle as a junior high teacher and Quinten Borbely and Hayden Dolan as summer janitorial help.
