FLORA — Flora won the championship of its own Boys Track Invitational with 198 points. The Wolves were followed by Carmi-White County 116, Newton 67, North Clay 58, Lawrenceville 38 and Cisne 34 Thursday.
North Clay’s Mason Byers was a double event winner during the meet. Byers captured the 100 in 11.20 seconds and was a winner in the 400 in 52.33 seconds.
Also taking a first place finish for the Cardinals was Zane Grove who claimed the 800 in 2:15.31 minutes.
The 4×100 relay team of Hunter Webb-Ord, Diego Martinez Gomez, Groves and Byers finished third with a time of 47.40.
Josiah Swope finished second in the 3200 in 12:56.19 minutes.
Newton’s Holden Barthelemy claimed second in the 800 in 2:17.76. Evan Holder was second in the pole vault at 10 feet. Grayson Lingafelter finished third in the high jump at 5 feet, 8 inches.
The Eagles’ 4×400 relay team finished third in 4:10.01. Team members were Beau Bennett, Max Hieser, Danial Falcioni and Caleb Flasch.
