Brenda (Lewis) Walker, 71, of Altamont, died at 7:28 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in Flanagan, Illinois after a short illness.
Per Brenda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Private family burial will be held at Union Cemetery, Altamont, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of Gieseking Funeral Home in Altamont.
Brenda was born on Tuesday, November 25, 1953 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Alfred (“Bill”) and Rozella (Portlock) Lewis. She graduated from Newton Community High School with the Class of 1971. She retired from World Color/Quebecor after 32 years of service. She married Mark Walker on April 8, 1983 and they celebrated 36 years of marriage before his passing on
December 13, 2019.
Brenda is survived by: Stepdaughter, Angie (Leland) Brooke, and special step granddaughters, Kayli and Kendall Brooke of Flanagan, Illinois; Sisters, Julie Pitcher (Delbert Steffen) of Gila Illinois and Mary (John) Pickowitz of Mattoon, Illinois; Nieces and nephews: Dustin Granby, Kristan (Jarad) Schackmann, Mallory, Sonny, Sam and Gary Pickowitz, and Lucas (Jenna) Pitcher; Great nieces and nephews: Owen and Liam Schackmann, Aiya Rose and Miles Benjamin Pitcher.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Judy Lewis and Penny Lewis and brother-in-law, Ben Pitcher.
