Dennis J. Heuerman, 73, of Effingham, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham with military rites. Visitation will
be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Little Wabash Longbeards or Ducks Unlimited Effingham Chapter. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Dennis was born on September 23, 1951, in Effingham, IL, the son of Tony and Irene (Buchholz) Heuerman. He married Becky Lindsey on October 9, 1982. Dennis served honorably in the Marine Corps before dedicating over 50 years to Cardinal Golf Course. He was an avid hunter that found joy and peace in nature. He especially loved hunting ducks and geese.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Becky Heuerman; children, Adam (Marissa) Heuerman, Josh (Angie) Heuerman, and Lindsey (Chad) Kinkelaar. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Irene Heuerman; and brother, Francis.
