A Newton resident will begin to serve a prison sentence for aggravated domestic battery.

18-year-old Kaileb Keener was arrested in September on a Class X felony count of aggravated battery of a child. Keener later pleaded guilty to the new charge, and reported on Wednesday to begin a five-year prison term.

Once Keener is out of prison, he will be placed on four years of mandatory supervisory release.
