Effingham St. Anthony captured a 49-45 victory over Altamont in freshman/sophomore boys basketball action Monday evening.
The Bulldogs edged out to a 9-6 opening quarter lead. But Altamont came back with a 16-11 second period to pull ahead 22-20 at halftime. Wolff scored five points while Milleville put in a three-pointer.
The two teams played to a 19-19 third quarter and St. Anthony finished out with a 10-4 final quarter for the victory.
Conner Storm scored on 10 field goals, one a three-pointer, for 24 points. Jamison McAllister added nine.
Altamont was led by Wolff with 11 points on four field goals, three of those from beyond the arc. Lurkins added eight.
