Effingham Junior High School split victories with Lawrenceville Parkview in Friday boys basketball action.
The Mustangs beat Lawrenceville Parvkiew, 39-25 in seventh-grade action.
Effingham ran out to a 15-4 opening quarter lead and led 25-12 at halftime.
Deek Thompson finished with 13 points for Effingham while Calvin Beck added 10.
Lawrenceville Parkview edged Effingham 44-40 in eighth-grade play.
Parkview took a 23-15 halftime lead. Effingham came back with a 25-15 second half run but couldn’t make up that first half deficit.
Joel Flack led the Mustangs with 18 points while Dagg Thompson added 11.
